Cosmetics brand ecommerce

Wireframes, prototypes, ecommerce, checkout flow, user testing, iteration

Client: 3ina
Agency: Mentally Friendly (now Future Friendly)

The project

3ina is a cosmetics brand, with a flagship store in Covent Garden. As a new brand, they were looking to develop an ecommerce site which would suit their young, fashionable audience.

My involvement

I developed the UX of this ecommerce site, including the checkout flow.

I designed wireframes in Sketch and created prototypes in HTML which I used for user testing sessions. I iterated the concepts in the prototypes based on findings from testing.

Site Map

As this was a brand new site, I developed the information architecture and site map from scratch.

Wireframes, prototypes and testing

I created wireframes for the shopping experience and checkout flow in Sketch. I then developed these into fully functional high-fidelity prototypes using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The prototypes were used for testing and enabled us to try out interaction design ideas with participants. I ran testing sessions on a bi-weekly basis, and iterated ideas based on findings from these sessions.

Outcomes

3ina is now a successful global brand with physical store fronts as well as their online presence. The ecommerce site and check out flow is still based on the UX I originally created for them.
